DESCRIPTION:

They have two side-facing fins on their abdomen, so they are arrow shaped. Three species are fairly common in the North Sea; the Common squid (Loligo vulgaris), the Northern squid (Loligo forbesii) and the Small squid (Alloteuthis subulata).
